Over 20 female entrepreneurs from across the country were beneficiaries of this year’s Anakazi Banking Owners’ Training Programme. During the four day training programme which was held at the Stanbic Yameme Training Center, the participants were trained in mentor-ship,networking,convenient banking and business education before being awarded with certificates of participation.
Speaking during the graduation ceremony, Stanbic Bank Head of Personal and Business Banking said the Bank remains committed to promoting female entrepreneurship in the country. Mrs.Mutati said entrepreneurs are key stakeholders in national development due to their pivotal role in the economic growth of the country. Stanbic Bank has applauded female entrepreneurs for their contribution towards the uplifting of the local economy. The Bank has continued to monitor the growth of women in business and intends to increase its lending profile of women-run businesses through various incentives.
On the third day of training, the Stanbic Bank Chief Executive Leina Gabaraane dropped in on the training session and gave the Anakazi a major boost by reaffirming the Bank’s commitment to women’s banking.
