Anakazi Banking was honored to be invited to be a part of the creation of the Entrepreneurial Digital App for women across thirty six African Countries targeting 50 million women. This was on the 1st – 3rd of August 2018 at the COMESA Secretariat.
This is a project by The African Development Bank in collaboration with Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) ,Eastern African Community (EAC) and Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS), through the 50 Million Women Speak (50MWS) project designed to create a dynamic online
networking platform for women entrepreneurs. This will help them to connect with one another in ways that will foster peer to peer learning, mentoring and the sharing of information and knowledge within communities. It will also provide them with access to trade finance and market opportunities between urban and rural areas, across borders and between countries. The objective of the platform is to contribute to the economic empowerment of women through the provision of an online portal to access real time information on the financial and non-financial services. The app is to be launched in the first quarter of 2019.
