A Journalist by profession Nancy has made a successful transition into acting winning herself many accolades for her talent in the film industry. Nancy made history in 2013 by becoming the first Zambian actor to be nominated for an Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCAs) for her supporting role in Love Games. Nancy has expanded her portfolio in the film industry by going into producing and directing. She was recently named one of top 8 female film makers in the SADC region and is currently Associate producer for the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC for the talk series “Talk it out” focusing on different health issues. Nancy Handabile received the Film Award at the Anakazi Banking Zambian Women of the Year Awards. Currently Ms Handabile is working as an associate producer for BBC Africa and stars on the hit show Zuba. In the future she would like to make a film about a strong Zambian woman.
“I want to make a film about a Zambian woman, I believe we are unique, strong and we hold very interesting stories. I’m excited about my future, it looks very bright.” Anakazi Banking is cheering you on Nancy!
Times of Zambia Business reporter Maimbolwa Mulikelela has continued to be a trendsetter in business reporting among female journalists in Zambia and beyond. The multi award winning business reporter focuses on financial and economic reporting as well as media development in her line of work. She has also undergone training in business reporting with reputable international organisations like Bloomberg and The United States Government. Maimbolwa Mulikelela recipient of the Information and Broadcasting award at the Anakazi Banking Zambian Women of the Year Awards. She loves her job despite the challenges,
“I love writing and interacting with various business sources, particularly small and medium entrepreneurs because they haveinteresting stories to tell and their growth or fall can be measured.”
